In 2020, the Government placed an extra emphasis on Mental Health and Basic First Aid skills in the National Curriculum for the first time, in both Primary and Secondary Schools.
There has been a significant shift towards recognising the importance of educating young adults about the priority of our Mental Health awareness, including discussion to remove the stigma and promote Mental Wellbeing.
As of 2020, every young adult should leave school knowing how to save someone's life, how to prevent a casualty's condition getting worse and how to promote recovery in a casualty - a huge step forward!
At Crusaider, we believe these changes to government strategy are long overdue and extremely welcome.
